Creeps is an augmented reality game, for kids aged 4-7 to engage their imagination, and to play with their fantasy, by adding a digital layer on top of the real world. The mystery of what happens under the drain covers, seen as an additional subterranean life.
The game Creeps features, animated life of bugs, which will appear on the Ipad display, when using camera function over the drain covers or printed papers.

This application is created to work with the digital augmented reality layer on the drain covers around the “Nikolajs Kunsthal” in Copenhagen, where “Bugs” exhibition will happen during the “Kulturnat”.

During the game you will be brought into the mysterious drains, by opening it virtually, which then will reveal the life of animated creeps in the drains.

Requirements: Use of camera. To be present at “Bugs” exhibition in “Nikolajs Kunsthal” or to have printed papers.
CREEPS is commissioned and produced by Netfilmmakers for BUGS curated by Annette Finnsdottir 2013.


The focal point for Netfilmmakers BUGS is the dissemination of interactive video art, network art and game art through iPad to a specific target group which is children and teenagers.

An iPad is perfect for entertainment such as games, literature and video, and why not art? With BUGS we want to unfold but also challenge this platform by confronting the smooth by jumping to the tension, conflict, the gaps in the system, the crash, the contrast, the eavesdropping - and creeping bugs.
